The smallest type of apartment is usually called a studio, an apartment for singles or bachelors who are just starting to wander. These studio type apartment units usually consist of a single main room which acts as a living room, dining room and bedroom combined into one without a divider and usually also includes kitchen facilities, with separate bathrooms.
In more urban areas, apartments close to the city center have the benefit of being close to work and / or public transportation. However, the price per square meter of an apartment is often much higher than in suburban areas.
Moving on from a studio apartment, the next is a one bedroom apartment, where the bedroom is separate from the other apartment, followed by a two-bedroom, three-bedroom apartment, etc. (Apartments with more than three bedrooms are rare in Indonesia)
Small apartments often only have one entrance. Large apartments often have two entrances, maybe a door in the front and the other in the back, or from parking access in the basement or installed in the service lane, depending on the design of the building. The entrance can be connected directly to the outside or to public areas inside, such as a hallway or lobby.
