After being controversial about licensing, Meikarta, a megaproject developed by Lippo Group, showed significant physical development. Currently, there are 22 towers out of a total of 28 towers in District 1 that have been erected with the status of rooftop construction (topping off). While the remaining six towers are targeted to reach the topping off stage in February 2020. Thus explained Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Meikarta Lilies Surjono to Kompas.com, Friday (1/17/2020).
"Of the total 22 towers, 400 of them have already been handed over," said Lilies. Only, Lilies did not mention whether the 22 towers that have been standing, including the four towers of Orange County, because it does not handle it. Lilies said, Phase I Meikarta consists of two districts with a total of 20,000 units. In addition to District 1 mentioned above, District 2 is also under construction. Thus, said Lilies, Meikarta consumers no longer need to worry about the issue of stalling that refers to the report of the Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI). "In the report, Meikarta's complaint was only 6 out of a total of 81 complaints. When compared to the number of thousands of units built, only zero points was a percentage," Lilies added. However, it will check the obstacles experienced by consumers and immediately provide solutions, so that the problem can be resolved quickly and well. In addition, for consumers who were worried about the Meikarta development process and intend to make a refund, the developer invited them to see firsthand the progress of the development. "We hope this effort does not make them make a refund," Lilies said.
Fill in the blanks
When launching on May 4, 2017, Lippo Group Chairman James Riady said, Meikarta was born to fill the absence of frontmen in the property sector in developing large scale projects. "In the property world, for more than 10 years there has been no leader involved in large-scale projects," James said.
Even a Ciputra who in fact the core business of the property does not give birth to a giant project. Therefore, continued James, Lippo Group is truly making a new breakthrough through Meikarta, so that it can be an inspiration for all property businesses. The project occupies 500 hectares of land in the easternmost part of Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java. The land has been controlled by the Lippo Group since the 1990s when the business dragon began the initiation of the industrial-based independent city of Lippo Cikarang. In this new city, James explained, the plan would be to develop 100 tall buildings with a height of about 35 to 45 floors each. The 100 buildings are divided into 250,000 residential units, strata title offices, 10 five-star hotels, shopping centers and commercial areas of 1.5 million square meters. Facilities that will complement it include health centers, educational centers with domestic and foreign providers, places of worship, and others.
